I’m a sucker for highly stylized animation. I have been hyped for another Spider-Verse for over three years now and now am afraid of it failing my expectations instead of enjoying the last installment of the trilogy. I also really enjoy Mutant Mayhem as its a fun take on a priority from my childhood.
It is a sea of sequels and existing properties and that’s why I’m also excited for M. Night Shyamalan’s movie. I’m glad he’s found his niche and continues making films. After the Sixth Sense people put their expectations too high and after Avatar, the expectations too low.
It is really sad how much we are just hanging on to these properties and fandoms. People are scared to put money behind new stories.
