Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023)

I saw Transformers: Rise of the Beasts in a 141-person Dolby Cinema at AMC Theater on Thursday, June 8th, at 4:00 CT. I went with my wife and two children. Unfortunately, we arrived at 4:11 and missed a couple of trailers.

Brief Review

Transformers 1986 is a masterpiece. I played with Transformers with my brother, and my parents and grandparents were tasked with finding the rarest Transformers in the land. Transformers hold a special place in my heart. Transformers are humanoids; they can have a film on their own.

I want to see Transformers fighting each other during a Transformers movie. I don’t need to see humans solve puzzles and go on what they self-described as Indiana Jones adventures. The film forces made-up scenarios that the robots need humans to help them. I want to see robots fight and solve their own inter-species battles.

The movie has some action, and the CGI is generally solid, but it’s too long and focuses too little on the Transformers. This is only a six instead of a four because I’m a huge Transformers fan; I couldn’t recommend this to anyone without an interest in these toys fighting on screen.
