Last summer, I experienced the AMC A-List. By the end of the summer, I had seen 35 movies in six months. There were a large number of movies I wanted to see, but will 2024 offer more Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverses, or will it be full of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destinys?
I will focus on blockbusters and then include anything that catches my fancy from this list and here and here.

Thoughts
There is a lot of ‘meh’ being put out there. Money is still being put into sequels/prequels, and although there are some I’m interested in, most I’m burnt out on.
May is the most exciting month for me. I enjoyed the Planet of the Apes movies and loved Mad Max Fury Road. Fall Guy looks like an enjoyable film with Blunt and Gosling. June and July only add three more movies that I would spend money on without A-List. August and September are relatively empty.
I would pay for only nine movies, but if I had an AMC A-List subscription, I would probably watch every movie listed. My youngest will also want to see a few and need an adult to buy them popcorn.
Although it looks like a lackluster summer, watching a single movie a month in premium format makes the subscription pay for itself, and watching two movies of any kind matches the cost of the subscription. Although I don’t expect to see 35 movies in the summer of 2024, I believe the April to October A-List subscription is a success. I have only seen three movies in theaters since my membership expired.
I expect to see Deadpool & Wolverine at least three times. I will re-join the A-List on April 13th, 180 days after I cancel my subscription. I may get the first month for only $0.99.
