Movie Review

Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken (2023)

I saw Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken in a 136-person cinema at AMC Theater on Saturday, July 22, at 10:00 am CT. I went with my 11-year-old. It was a special showing where they kept the lights. There were a couple of large families there with children. It was our only chance of seeing the movie in theaters as it quickly ran out of showings.

I assume no trailers were shown. We arrived at 10:10 am, and the movie was already in full effect.

Brief Review

Classic kids animated movie. It did not infuriate me, but I felt I could have written it. The trailers made it look garbage, but it wasn’t that bad.

Sam Richardson was not able to save this one.

It is Turning Red and The Little Mermaid. My kid laughed a few times and did not seem bored, so it’s something to watch on Netflix.
