My Brief Review
I have not seen the Mission Impossible movies. This is mainly because these are meant to be seen in theaters. You need to pay attention to the plot and the action. You find these movies flat and dull when they are on in the background.
This movie made me glad I had A-List as I could see it at my IMAX and experience its gloriousness. In the movie’s first two acts, I was transfixed by the screen. The cold open brought me in. I didn’t know who anyone was, and that helped me stay interested in the movie, trying to understand what was happening. The movie’s balance and timing only suffered slightly near the end of the second act. It could have shaved 5-10 minutes, but it wasn’t enough to prevent it from being my second favorite film after Spiderverse.
I recommend seeing it before Oppenheimer and Barbie take over the screens this weekend.
