I have talked about my nerve issues in the past. I went to the doctor once but after ditching my multivitamin, I saw improvement. I told my doctor again about a new issue I had where my lower left leg had been tingling, and she sent me for two different follow-ups.

The first doctor was to do an ultrasound and check to see if I have any blood clots. That was pretty quick, literally less than five minutes. They did a little work on the right leg to get a comparable measurement. Then they scanned through my calf and didn’t find anything.
I was surprised.

The next doctor visit wasn’t as painless. I didn’t look up what happens during a nerve conduction study.
Apparently, they study how your nerves conduct… by shocking you.

The doctor hooked electrodes up to my legs and stimulated my nerves and I felt pain like I was a year ago, and it was giving me so much anxiety I started sweating.

I was glad I got the study done, however, because it did let me know there wasn’t any nerve damage in my legs.

But then, what is wrong with me?

I know that these are not phantom pains I was feeling. I do also acknowledge that by the time the tests were run it had been a year and things were 80% better. I feel like there was an improvement after getting my nerves stimulated too.
I think my diet and nutrition have contributed to improvement in my nervous system. I also believe my body was struggling to alert me of a lower leg injury.

I’m glad I got the piece of mind I needed. I know I don’t have diabetes or a serious disease. I just need to keep listening to my body.
