I’ve talked about my love affair with the Sega CD and Full-Motion Video (FMV) games in the past. I wanted to see what I have actually been missing out on. Even though I owned the Sega CD and 32X as a child, I only had a few games I actually got to play. There were 146 games released in the United States.
As far I can tell, only 39 of these games were FMVs.
If one were to purchase all 39 games, Complete-In-Box, it would cost $1,991.05, which is a lot of money but only $51.05/game. The original MSRP for most of these games was $49.99. If you take inflation into account, they are actually half-off! Also, the Top-8 games account for over half of that cost.
You can buy the 31 worst Sega CD FMV games for only $29 each!
Sega CD FMV is peak nostalgia for me. I only owned Sewer Shark, Night Trap, Kriss Kross, and Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective Vol. I. I rented Prize Fighter and couldn’t figure out how to get past the first fight. I also remember playing Dragon’s Lair. There are still 33 games for me to experience.
I already have a YouTube unreality of Time Travel movies, so why not one where I play and review Sega CD FMVs?
